Hey yall! I'm back! I know it's been FOREVER since I've written, but I just felt like writing today! I'll try to keep up with my blog as best as I can, but things have been busy lately! I just got back from a school field trip to colonial Williamsburg for an entire week last week! Right now I'm on vacation in Bladenboro NC at my gradparent's house! Well that's all for now! I'll try to put a bit more of a Christmassy background on my blog. Keep reading and God bless!

More snow!

We got another snow day here in Greenville! We got about 6 inches! My family and I went sledding at a park near us and we made snow cream with real snow! It was delicious! School starts up again tomorrow Jan 12 (Lord willing). I know what your thinking..."What?!? She has that long of a Christmas break?!?!" But yes, that's just what my school decided. Hey I don't mind! :-) But I am excited about going back. They may postpone it because of the snow. Anyway, Happy New Year! I'm immensely enjoying 2011 so far. How about you?

2 Prayer Requests

I have two prayer requests that I need prayer for. First, my Grandma (Mema) has a terrible stomach bug. What a terrible way to ring in the new year! Please pray for her. Second, on Monday (Dec 27) my great-aunt Debbie slipped on the ice on the road and suffered a bad break to her hip. She had to have surgery immediately. This will not be a very fun New Year's Day for her either. Please Pray for my Mema and great-aunt. Thank you so much. God bless you.

Junior High Play!

Guess what? I tried out for the Junior High Play at school, and I got in! The play is called "The Velveteen Rabbit!" You may have heard of the story before. Just yesterday, I found out what part I got! I am one of the toys, the wind up mouse. I LOVE my part! It is actually a very big part in the play, since there are only 14 cast members. I have 104 speaking lines!!!!!! I am supposed to be a witty, funny, and sometimes bossy mouse. I have some really funny lines! I can't wait till we start rehearsing!

Miracle Hill Food Drive

I am at home right now not at school. I am sick with a fever of 100.5. Well at least I was sick with a fever yesterday. And the school handbook says that if you have a fever of over 100 the day before you can't go to school the next day. So I am at home even though I am not sick. It's kind of nice to have a day off though to relax. I just home my fever won't come back so I will be able to go to school tomorrow! Pray for me!

New Homeroom Name

You know how I said my homeroom name for school was webdonalds? Well, we changed it to Web&M's (you know M&M's) which I think is much cuter! One day we each brought a big bag of M&M's and we had a "Web&M" party! It was a lot of fun! We are going to make t-shirts some time this year! I'll post a pic of them when we make them!

Braces!.......again

I'm getting braces on again for the 2nd stage on October 15. I kind of want them and I kind of don't. I don't want them because then I can't have popcorn, gum, sticky candy, etc. I do want them because 2 of my other girl cousins are getting braces around the same time I'm getting them! We 3 can get through braces together! So over all I guess you could say I won't mind that much. :-)

It's the last day of the 2nd week of school! I'm loving it! My homeroom teacher's name is Miss Webb. Lockers are a big adjustment, but I can get it open on the first try every time now! I'm stuck at home with a fever today. It started yesterday and kept breaking and then creeping up again! I took lots of Tylenol which helped a lot. The fever made my night pretty miserable last night. I had weird drugged dreams, and I kept waking up every hour and having a hard time going back to sleep. Pray that it will go away!

I just got back from the Wilds Christian Camp today! It was sooooooooo fun! I went to Junior Boot Camp for the last year this year because next year I will have to go to Teen Camp! 6 hours at the pool?!?!

I spent 6 hours at the community pool with 3 of my cousins and my 2 brothers. We had a B-L-A-S-T! Everyone got sunburned though, even after putting sun screen on 3 times! And then after we got back from the pool, I had to go and do Aerobics for 30 minutes! I am pooped out! Anyway, tomorrow I am going to an activity with my church youth group! It will be soooooo fun! We are going to split up into groups of 4 or 5, and we will each have a list of some people from our church that we need to find down town. We will also have pictures of the people. They will be disguised and will not look like themselves. The first team to find all of the people wins, and they get free ice cream at Marble Slab! So if you happen to be in down town Greenville tomorrow night, and you get asked if your name is someone that you have never heard of before, you'll know who's asking you!

I recommend Bob Jones University Day Camp as a wonderful place to see old friends from school, and make new friends during the summer! The Day Camp is located at the SAS (School of Applied Studies) of Bob Jones University off of Wade Hampton Blvd. It is open every week day during summer break. It costs money for each hour you go there but it is not to expensive. Day Camp is free for some faculty families (such as my family.) For more information about BJU Day Camp click here

On Saturday, my dad got in a bike racing accident and made a crack in a small section of his neck and skull! He has to wear a neck brace for a few months. He also broke his thumb and got a tiny fracture on the tip of one of his other fingers. My mom has to help him sit up and lay down and go places. But God protected him and he could have gotten really badly hurt. His helmet saved his life. Please pray for my dad that he would recover soon!

A Visit to the Junior High!

The 6 grade classes visited the junior high today so we could see what to expect next year. It was fun! But one of the teachers fell on her way there on the concrete and hurt her shoulder and ripped up her knee! She had to go to the hospital! But she was relatively ok so she came back later that day. We even went to University Chapel in the huge FMA on Campus! They even had a slide on the huge projector scree that said, "Welcome BJES 6 graders!" It was so cool! Anyway, GTG! Right now outside, it is hailing and raining harder than I think I have ever seen it rain!!!!!!!! The hail balls are the size of marbles! Orchestra Trophy!

I had an orchestra competition festival today at Greenville High. My orchestra competed against other orchestras and tried to get a good score and maybe even a trophy! Well guess what? We got a SUPERIOR trophy!!!!!!!!!! It is sooooooo cool! We worked really hard and it payed off!

Today is my birthday! I'm 12 today! I can't tell you what I got yet because I'm opening my presents on Fri. But Lauren (one of my BFFs) gave me some presents today at school! She got me an adorable stuffed pink unicorn, a red & white polka-dotted clip case to put money and accessories in, and a pair of sweet treat earrings (one earring is a doughnut and the other one is a cupcake. So cute!) I'm wearing the earrings right now! Tonight I'm going out to eat at Corona's with my mom to watch the mariachi band. Then I'm going to the Opera Samson and Delilah at BJU. Those are my presents that I got ON my b-day. After Fri I'll post about the rest of them. See yall!

This morning my alarm clock woke me up as usual at 6:00. I got up and there was no one up yet, which was also normal. I started getting my stuff ready for school, and after about 25 minutes, I started to wonder why my mom wasn't up yet. My alarm clock said it was 6:25, which normally would have been when my mom would be making breakfast! I decided to look at the kitchen clock to see if it was the same as my alarm clock. The kitchen clock said 5:25! I found out that when I set my alarm clock last night, I must have accidentally set my alarm clock time to an hour ahead of the rest of the clocks! So my alarm clock actually woke me up at 5:00. I had to wait an hour for breakfast! You can imagine how hungry I was!

Fiels Trip Results

I just got back from my Field Trip to the Discovery Place! It was totally awesome! The science stuff was sooooooooooo cool, and I learned a lot! The IMAX Theater was totally unreal! I got a lava lamp at the gift shop and it looks so neat in my room! So all in all, it was the best field trip ever! Except that I am sooooooo tired right now because I had to get up at 5:30 this morning. It was worth it though! I'll post back later with pics.

For like an hour just now, my cat Pippin got outside and got lost! I was SOOOOO worried! But he just came inside all wet and cold. Poor thing! I'm just glad he's back! Merry (my other cat) didn't mind him being outside at all because he always chases her and hisses at her. But I love both of my cats. :-) By the way: the pic is of Pippin. Isn't he cute?

Aerobics!

I go to a really cool aerobics class, taught by Linda Haught! It is wonderful exercise and fun as well! In case you don't know what aerobics is, It is a series of exercising dance steps that helps you grow stronger and helps you develop better body-eye coordination. The steps are set to music (not rock) and the steps follow the rhythm of the music! Mrs. Haught is a wonderful Christian woman and loves to smile and joke! My mom and lots of other ladies go to the same aerobics class and a few other girls my age do it to! The class meets at 5:30-6:30 every Tuesday and Thursday evening in the gym at Colonial Hills Baptist Church in Taylors SC. If you live nearby and want to attend the class, you can email Mrs. Haught for directions at lhaught@bju.edu or use a GPS or Map quest.

Blanket Fort

Today I had my first baby-sitting job! I baby-sat my 2 year-old cousin, Danielle, at my house for 2 hours! That might not seem like very long, but it was my first time. Danielle and I did puzzles (easy ones of course), swung on the swings outside, played in our blanket fort, ate snacks, played with my american girl stuff, played hide and go seek, drew pictures, looked at books, and I helped her decorate cards with stickers for her Mommy and Daddy! Color Clay Cafe!

Yesterday I went to Color Clay Cafe with my cousin, using the gift certificates that we both got for Christmas! We both wore our matching shirts that we got for Christmas, and we both wore black pants! We stayed there for about an hour. I made 2 things and Samantha made 1. I painted a pottery name plate for my wall, with my initials E.K.P on a pink background with green flowers! I also painted a pink coffee mug with a brown handle, brown rim, and brown swirls along the outside of the mug. Samantha painted a puppy! She painted it brown, with blue eyes and a pink nose. It is very cute! After we painted our pottery, we went to Starbucks for Hot Chocolate! But we have to wait 10 days before we can take our pottery home, because our pottery has to be fired in a kiln so it glossy and less breakable. Above ↑ there are some pictures of the things that Samantha and I made. By the way, I recommend Color Clay Cafe, as a great place to hang out and have fun painting pottery!

1....2......3...........Drum roll please............WELCOME 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope yall are as ready for the new year as I am! We didn't shoot off fire works, due to the shortage of money after Christmas, but we were all to tired anyway. I tried to stay up till 12:00 but I fell asleep at 11:30. Anyway, I am glad that 2010 is here at last! So many new movies will be coming out in "the summer of 2010!" Did any of you make new-year's resolutions? I made one! I promised myself that I would try to stop getting mad at my brother when he annoys me. If you made one, I would love to here it and encourage you to keep it! So if you would like to tell it to me, just put it as a comment on this post! I'll be sure to read it. Well GTG! Bye!

I am sooooo glad that I don't have school this week! I am glad that God gave me the opportunity to go to a Christian school! I am glad about everything that God has given me the ability to do! The rest of my Christmas Presents

Yesterday, we came back from Mema's house and I opened the rest of my presents. Here is what I got- I got a pink iPod nano, an eye soother, 2 books, 5 dollars, a pink sleeping bag, 5 pairs of earrings, a cat ornament, a pink leather journal, a certificate to go to Color Clay Cafe with my cousin Samantha, and both of us got matching pinks shirts with paw prints made up of little green dogs on the fronts. So, there you have it! My Christmas!

Hey everyone! Merry Christmas! Today I opened most of my presents! The rest of them are back in Greenville so I'll have to wait till I get back from Mema's to open them. You are probably wondering what I got so far. So far I have gotten, I new pair of clothes for Cuddles (One of my Buildabears), a pair of 14 carrot white gold earrings to wear after my ears have healed, a little pink real leather note book, an itunes gift card for $15 dollars, a white Bop-it, a webkinz googles, a kid-sized travel coffee mug (SO CUTE!) , a new outfit consisting of a fuzzy blue sweater and a pair of fuzzy black pants, and a monkey pillow pal. (In case you don't know what I pillow pal is, It is a big stuffed animal that turns into a pillow.) And there are still more presents to come! Here are some random pics of our Christmas at Mema's-

Christmas Eve Fire!

Rest assured. The title does not mean that anyone's house burned down on Christmas Eve. :-) What I mean by "Christmas Eve Fire" is that my brothers and I made a bond fire today at Mema's house. Yes we are still here at Mema's. We will be going home on Saturday. Anyway, that is beside the point. We made a bond fire and kept it going THE WHOLE DAY! Tonight we roasted marshmallows and had a great time. I even gave a marshmallow to Buster! He LOVED it, and for the rest of the "cook out" I had to keep him away from the bag of open marshmallows. LOL! He was funny trying to dig up a squirrel! He could smell it underground (because it was near the surface) and he dug a long path through the yard trying to get it! Mema wasn't very happy about it though. :-) Well I'll post back on Christmas day!

Today I played with Millie and Stephie (two of the 11 cousins on my dad's side.) They came the day before yesterday and stayed the night, then they stayed last night and left after lunch today. I was sad to see them go. We had SUCH A COOL TIME TOGETHER! Right now you are probably wondering what the title of this post, "Poor mouse :-(" has to do with what I have written so far. Well, about an hour after they left, we found a tiny little field mouse that Buster (in case you are new to this blog and don't know who Buster is, he is my Mema's Jack Russell Terrier) was "playing" with. We quickly took it away from Buster and tried to keep it alive but...........*sob*............it was to late. This might not sound like a big deal to you, but you know how much I love animals. *sigh* Well, for the sake of ending on a happier note, I got my ears pierced last Sat.! It was an early Christmas present. Well, (I know I say "well" a lot) GTG, Ciao, TTFN, BRB, Adios, Bye, however you want to call it.

Merry Christmas! I am in NC right now at my Mema's (another name that I call the grandma on my dad's side's) house. I am having a great time! Buster (Mema's dog) has gotten bigger, and he is even more hyper than before! LOL! We will be staying here all the way through Christmas and going back the day after Christmas. I alreay got one of my Christmas presents, I got my ears pierced! Cool huh!?!? My earrings are little pink flowers. Well I've run out of things to say so...... Merry Christmas again!

Happy Thanksgiving! What are you doing for Thanksgiving? I am going to my Grandma's here in Greenville. We will have a HUGE Thanksgiving dinner! Then I will go to this thing (pardon my bluntness but I really don't know what it's called) on BJU campus. I've never been to it before, and I hope it will be fun! :-) Anyway, It is a "tradition" sort of thing (pardon my bluntness again :-) That we eat cinnamon rolls on Thanksgiving morning! *yum*! I'm glad we have that tradition! Well, GTG or my mom is going to get on me for not doing my homework *sigh*.

Here is the last chapter from The 5D Mystery!-

Chapter #8- Return!
Three humans plus an alien leaned over the edge of the exit and watched six screaming aliens disappear from view as they plummeted down into the depths of outer space.
With a satisfied grunt Bobo closed the door and said. "Well, I suppose that we are rid of them."
"Yeah, but how do we get back to earth?" Emma asked, suddenly becoming worried.
"Don't you remember?" Bobo said emphatically. "This is my home! The aliens took over my UFO!"

"Of course! I should have remembered that!" Emma said and hit herself across the forehead with the heel of her hand.

"Follow me," Bobo said.

They did and soon all four of them stood in a capsule at the top of the UFO. Bobo stationed himself at the wheel. "To earth!" he shouted, and turned the wheel to the left.

The two girls looked at each-other and grinned. They were going home. But more importantly, they had saved Bob Jones Elementary School!

Chapter #7- The Hypnotism set
The four stared at each other glumly. A few minutes went by until they realized that it was the middle of the night.
"Hey!" said Emma triumphantly, "Look through that skylight above us. It's dark and you can see stars! That means it is night time!"
"Your right!" said Karis. "That means that the enemy aliens are all asleep!"
"We can explore the UFO!" Mr. Muller said with enthusiasm.
So they started on their way and began to search boxes, bags, and every corner for a way to escape back to their beloved earth.
Suddenly Emma gave out a cry! "Look! Look what I've found!
The others all came on the run.
"I think I've found a hypnotism set!
"What would we use that for?" Karis asked puzzled.
"Don't you see? We could hypnotize the enemy aliens to walk out of the entrance to the UFO and fall into outer space!"
"Yeah! That might work! Lets try it." said Karis, full of determination.
"OK, I will read the instructions on the side of the box and see how to use it."
After five minutes of studying the writing on the side of the box. She grinned and said, "All you do is open this little box of powder." She did so as she spoke. "Then you rub it all over your hands." She opened the bag, gave a handful of powder to each person and then rubbed it on her own hands…

Chapter #6- Escape! and take off

“Who is that creature !" Mr. Muller exclaimed and pointed to Bobo.
"It's OK Mr. Muller, he is a good alien and his name is Bobo," Emma explained.
Bobo hurried into the room and said in a whispered voice, "We must go now! The UFO is about to take off into space!"
"But Bobo! How did you get the key to the chamber?" Karis asked.
"I crept into the bedroom of one the aliens. He was sleeping and I slipped the key from his pocket and came here."
"Wow, that was very brave of you Bobo!" Emma exclaimed.
Bobo blushed modestly and then said, "Hurry! We must leave now! As I said, the UFO is about to take off into outer space!"
All four of them scrambled for the entrance of the UFO, but it was too late. With a whirr and a whoosh, the UFO rose off of the ground. The two girls, the teacher, and the alien stood in horrified silence. They were all trapped in the UFO with the enemy aliens!

Chapter #5- Trapped!

The two aliens dragged the screaming girls towards a chamber way back in the back of the UFO. They shoved the two girls inside and with a "Bye bye little girls!" and a snicker or two, they locked the door. It was pitch black in the musty smelling chamber but soon their eyes adjusted to the darkness and they began two look around. Suddenly they both froze in terror. Cold sweat trickled down both of their backs. For this is what they saw. In the very back of the chamber they saw a pile of straw and lying on the pile of straw lay a human body! They could not tell if it was alive or not, but neither of them dared approach it to find out.
Finally Emma spoke up in a shaky voice, "Is it dead or alive Karis?"
"I don't know," Karis replied in the same tone.
"It could be Mr. Muller, and there is only one way to find out if it is or not." Emma said.
She slipped her hand into Karis's and stepped forward. Slowly the girls approached the body. It stirred! Karis started to scream but Emma clamped her hand over her mouth. Karis gulped and took another shaky step and so did Emma. This brought them right up next to the body.
Emma whispered, "Karis, do you have a flashlight?"
"I think so," Karis whispered back and reached into her pocket.
She pulled out a small flashlight and handed it to Emma. With shaky fingers she turned it on and shone it down onto the face of the victim. Both girls gasped! The face belonged to Mr. Muller!
"Mr. Muller! Mr. Muller! Are you all right?" Karis yelled as she shook him.
Slowly his eyes opened and looked at them. Then a grin spread across his face and he managed, "Karis! Emma! I'm so glad to see you! But what are you doing here?"
"We were captured by the aliens just like you were," Karis explained.
Slowly he rose to a sitting position and began to talk to them when, all of a sudden, the door to the chamber swung open and Bobo appeared in the entrance!
