may 17-23 weekly chapter

Here is chapter #7 from In The Beginning-

Chapter#7- From Joy to Sorrow
It is now two years later and Jasmine has been growing fast. She is as obedient as ever, and a sweet little complexion is forming rapidly beneath the bobbing golden curls. But the joy did not last long. A great epidemic swept through the town and many people died of its blow. By God’s great mercy, my daughter and I were saved, but my wife… she is home with God now. I cannot bear to talk of it so let us retire to another subject. Great weeping was poured forth day and night. All of us (people in the town) tried to forget about it and go on with our lives. However, the memory will always haunt us even until the end of our days. When the first year had passed since that horrid day, the town had gone somewhat back to its normal ways, and we had almost succeeded in forgetting our worries. Now that my wife… I cannot speak of her for fear of breaking down, so I will just tell you that during this time I took special attention in my now three-year-old daughter. Her little joys became my joys, and her little sorrows my sorrows. Through this trial we became very much attached to each other and spent day after day helping each other and encouraging each other. So over all we lived an almost completely happy and contented life.

Come Back next week for Chapter #8. It's the last chapter from In The Beginning! The next book will be The Father, The Girl, and The Lost Cat. It is the sequel to In The Beginning.
